TI released an official page for the 84+CSE

Saw this over at Cemetech. TI's set up a page for the 84+CSE (what a nasty name!):

I like that they explicitly mention ASM support! However, it seems now there's even LESS RAM (21K). I wonder if the >C000 protection will still be in place?

Wow, the TI 83+CSE has a better resolution (320 × 240) than the GameBoy Advance (240 × 160). Someone has to port that emulator .

Also Wizards in color? Hmm, 16-bit color does mean HUGE image files.

Yeah, 3.5 MB seems like a lot, i never managed to flil up the 1.5 megs on my 83+SE, but if you think how much space pictures will take up now: previously an 8x8 sprite = 8 bytes, now assuming 16-bit color 8x8 = 128 bytes.

As cool as that would be, even if it's possible performance would be ass as it's still running a z80. :/ Also, only 3.5mb archive. GBC and NES should be quite feasible though.

Wizards in color would be super cool, though We should be getting more information conerning an actual in-stores date relatively soon.

I still think that TI continues to shoot themselves in the foot. Color is nice and is a great feature but to me its too little too late. $120 bucks or whatever it is going to be, just seems like to much to me. I'm glad to see the rechargeable battery, bigger screen, the 3.5MB and of course they finally say they support assembly programming. IDK, I guess I gotta wait until I get more information.

We've also gotta wait and see how the processor can handle all those extra goodies (and what's up with the RAM!). Anyway:
