Yeah, that looks good. Everybody uses QR, except for quoting maybe.

Yeah, I use quick reply as often as I can, especially when I'm on my dialup connection.

Signatures are disabled in the posting area. You can only see them in profiles. I upped all signature limits.

Still want my sig though :P
Thanks :)

Any chance you could change it so that people can turn on sig's in the posting area but just have it off by default?

Quick reply is there. I like it already. Sigs will stay off. I might think about putting more information under the avatar, where your twitter and facebook could go.

Shift+F5 to reload CSS: forum width is now between 750px and 1250px.

I personally like that idea because if your posts are long enough, there's a gap underneath your avatar anyway, and having no sigs reduces, well, sigs :D

And Quick Reply boxes are always good. Also noticed the portal got changed to the board index, which I also like because it confused me :P

Can threads show more posts per page though? Ten seems a bit short -- what about 12, 16, or 24?

Yeah more posts per page. I'm glad the portal is changed as well.

Actually the portal links to the "front page" which redirects to the forum. That can be replaced later with a real front page.

It's 25 posts per page now.

I like it better than the old portal anyway, because the post list there looked so much like a forum that I thought you'd gone wacko and jumbled all the threads together in one coherent mess XD

The calculator sorting at the registration page may be a little to hard for newbies though. The Voyage 200 part, anyway.

Worst case, you google it. You could probably even put the makers name before it, bots couldn't tell

I just tried registering again (didn't actually register) to see what this awesome bot-defense system is that you've been talking about, and that is clever :D

Re: Welcome to Revolution Software!

Post04 November 2011, 16:35

How come when I open a topic it doesnt take me to the most recent post. Is it something on my end that I have to fix or can we do it in the admin section....I'll have to check around I guess.

There is a link on the right of each topic row that does exactly that.

It's so big I missed it at first too lol

I'm just used to "last post" links in phpBB being way too small, I guess.

Yeah I missed that. I'm still used to forums just putting me at the most recent post instead of me having to do it for every topic.

Re: Welcome to Revolution Software!

Post09 November 2011, 12:46

lol. you should also unlock 8x* with *={ G P I K } since msd8x creates those extensions.

Extensions are not case sensitive in phpBB, so those should work.

Does it let you set patterns like "8x?"?

By the way, is there some way to subscribe to newly created topics on a forum (like on SMF), instead of for every individual posts? I have several subforums subscribed to keep me updated on activity here, but since it notifies on every post, I sometimes get notified twice for the same post -- once for the topic subscription, and once for the forum subscription.

No, I added them in a row.
