VVVVVV for TI-83+ series calcs

Post15 February 2014, 06:32

So I'm pimathbrainiac from Omnimaga/Cemetech/TI-Planet/ticalc.org, and I'd like to post about a project of mine!
It's a port of the PC/3DS game VVVVVV by Terry Cavanagh. See http://thelettervsixtim.es for information about the original game.
To put it in short: VVVVVV is an action-puzzle platformer where you can not jump; you can only flip gravity.
I am not porting the entire original game, but rather the concept with some of my own levels and some from the original game.

Features:

Done:
A menu
Veni Vidi Vici

Kind of done:
Custom maps

Planned:
Shiny trinkets
Moar tilemap.

The original game had an overworld, but not mine. Mine will still be nonlinear, though.
So far, the map has 2 paths. In this update, a lot is added to both (although one's much harder at this point :P).

The above screenshot is with wabbit at 50%, btw.

Zip attached, enjoy!

I've followed this over at Omnimaga. Nice work :)

I have to admit though that it seems much too hard for me.

You eventually get the hang of it, like in the original game.

It ain't very error forgiving... some people like harder games, I prefer easy ones, too :)

The original game wasn't error forgiving either. :P

Anyways, I'm working on more tilemaps and bugfixing/documenting custom maps. Expect more within a week!
